This is a very useful and cost-effective solution for entrepreneurs who are are looking for a fairly robust shopping cart that allows you to set up your products, virtual or tangible and accept payment using any number of payment gateways (such as PayPal, MoneyBookers, 2Checkout, etc) or offline payments received via EFT.

My service for new online shops includes the following:

register a new domain name
install the system on the server
install a free or pre-customised theme of your choice
set up a 2Checkout account on your chosen domain name
ensure site compliancy with 2Checkout's terms of service
2 hours of VOIP training on how to use CubeCart with Q&A session

Web publishing platform powered by WordPress:

This is the most powerful blogging platform on the net right now and it's also turning into the most versatile content management system too. It's much easier to use than Joomla, Mambo or Drupal and because of this there are new plugins and free themes being created all the time. There is very little you can't do with WordPress. Some of the plug-ins I highly recommend are:

NextGEN photo gallery - highly effective photo presentations and albums
CForms II - create forms for sending email or receiving data from visitor input
All In One SEO Pack - allows you to add relevant meta data to each page or post
WP Shopping Cart - as the name implies, run a shop off your pages
Gigs Clendar - ideal for bands or entertainers - lets you publish a calendar of your gigs with details
MP3 player - publish your music or podcasts in your blog or on pages of your site

There are hundreds of other free plug-ins covering just about anything you would ever need to publish on your website. My service for new WP powered sites includes the following:

Getting Paid with 2Checkout.com

If you are unable to obtain or afford a merchant account to process online payments with, I highly recommend using 2Checkout's reseller service. It only costs $49 once off for your chosen domain name. If you want to sell off other sites you can open more accounts at only $29 per domain name.

Effectively 2CO becomes an authorised reseller of your products and services, but you continue to sell those products and services from your own website. There are two ways of doing this:

Use the 2CO plug 'n play cart, which requires you to set up your products on their system. For each product you set up you receive a snippet of HTML code that can be placed anywhere on your website. To see this in action go to nikongear.com/becoming-a-subscriber/ .
Use a shopping cart (like CubeCart) on your website and set up 2CO as your payment gateway. When a sale is made CubeCart passes details of the sale to 2CO who in turn process the payment for you and tell you via email when the transaction has passed their fraud checks.

When you sign up for 2CO's services you can elect how to receive your money and at what threshold you'd like to be paid. A massive benefit in being a 2CO client is that you can elect to use Payoneer as your payment method. If you don't already know, Payoneer provide payout solutions in the form of a pre-paid MasterCard debit card that can be used at any point of sale or ATM accepting MasterCard cards. The pre-paid MasterCard is issued by the First Bank Of Delaware and costs $10.

Your customers don't have to sign-up for 2CO to buy stuff from your site and the entire process is safe and secure. I have been using these services since June 2008 and have not had a single problem.
